READING BOOKS: A WASTE OF TIME?

My reading journey started when I was 10. On my tenth birthday, my uncle gifted me a book titled ‘Tututni O Chotacchu’ written by Muhammed Zafar Iqbal. I was really disappointed when he gave me a book while others gifted me dolls and dresses. I wasn’t a fan of reading books back then so the book was kept on the table for months. But one day I thought I should try reading that book then I read another book and here we are, me being obsessed with reading books. As John Waters said, “It wasn’t until I started reading and found books, they wouldn’t let us read in school that I discovered you could be insane and happy and have a good life without being like everybody else”.
